China produces most of the R/C models of the world. Particularly, Guangdong houses the world's major R/C model makers, which makes the province become a key supplying region for global models. China is abundant in categories of advanced model products, meanwhile electronic & electrical models and fuel models, are developed to include more science and technology element. During these years when model is thriving among hobby fans, domestic and overseas markets are both making great progress. In order to tap into wider market of the category and propel the development of hobby business, supported by hobby circle, Guangdong Toy Association (GDTA) and Guangdong Research Council of Toy Cultural & Economic Development (GRCTCED) decided to start the first session of Guangzhou International Model Technology Fair from May 4th to 6th, 2008, in Jinhan Exhibition Centre.

      For 19 successive years, GDTA and GRCTCED have sponsored the Guangzhou Int’l Toys & Gifts Fair. With long history, large scale and strong recognition, the fair is a toy show with greatest influence in mainland China, receiving lots of professional buyers.

  Toy and model is closely related. For years, quite a few of model companies has exhibited in Guangzhou Int’l Toys & Gifts Fair, making outstanding achievement. In fact, many toy buyers also purchase models. In view of this, GDTA and GRCTCED utilize the advantage of Guangzhou toy fair and huge database of model buyers to hold the first session of Guangzhou International Model Technology Fair, at the same times and at the same venue that Guangzhou Int'l Toys & Gifts Fair is held.

Supporters will extensively organize exhibitors in model hobby realm and invite buyers at home and abroad. At the same time, lectures on model technique will be held to introduce latest technique and products.
