As a leading production base of toys, China contributes 70% of toys in the world, while Guangdong makes up 80% of national production. Situated in this huge production base, Guangzhou Int'l Toys & Gifts Fair is held once a year in Guangzhou, Guangdong, which saw its 19th session in 2007. It is considered a professional toy fair with longest history, largest scale and greatest influence in domestic China.
The 19th session had been held in Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre in April, 2007. In fact, several significant indexes saw historic breakthrough. With extended area, the fair covered 18,000 sqm, housing 819 booths, which grew by 40% against the previous year. It welcomed near 500 exhibitors and key brands of toys in China demonstrated their hottest items in the fair.
Location of the fair is convenient for makers in Guangdong to join the grand event. Moreover, makers in other productive regions were attracted as well, so buyers are free to communicate with makers directly and visit their factories. In fact, the fair appeals to increasingly more buyers. The 19th session registered a growth of 13% against previous year in amount of attended buyers, totaling to 13,726 people.
China produces most of the R/C models of the world. Particularly, Guangdong houses the world's major action model makers, which makes the province become a key supplying region for global models. China is abundant in categories of advanced model products, meanwhile electronic & electrical models and fuel models, are developed to include more science and technology element. During these years when model is thriving among hobby fans, domestic and overseas markets are both making great progress. In order to set up a trading platform for model and expand wider room for related companies, we have decided to initiate Guangzhou International Model Technology Fair at the same time with Guangzhou Int'l Toys & Gifts Fair. With the existing brand influence of the latter, Guangdong Toy Association will make full use of its resource of model specialists, so as to make a powerful model technology fair.

From May 4th to 6th, 2008, the 20th session of Guangzhou Int'l Toys & Gifts Fair will be held in Jinhan Exhibition Centre as well. The fair will cover two floors in totally area of 19,000 sqm. The show date has been changed, so as to make buyers to the spring session of Canton Fair visit the show in a convenient manner. At the same time, western guests will feel free to the fair after their Easter holiday as well.
First floor: Models (electronic and electrical models, fuel models), electronic and electrical toys, plush toys, wooden toys, amusement playsets, accessories and gifts.
Second floor: Electronic and electrical toys, metal toys, plastic toys, paper toys, dolls, inflatable toys, electronic organs, ride-ons, baby beds and animation and comics licensing toys. |
